APodA/BMS Conference Giveaway (Giveaway) Entry Terms & Conditions

The Promoter is the Australian Podiatry Association Ltd.

The competition is open to those who sign up for or renew their Australian Podiatry Association (APodA) membership between 19 May 2025, 12:01am and before the 31 of May 2025, 11:59pm. These people will automatically go in the draw to win a full (3-day) Australian Podiatry Conference 2025 (Conference) delegate registration ticket and three (3) nights’ accommodation at Sofitel Broadbeach from 25th – 28th June 2025 sponsored by BMS Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (BMS), APodA’s insurance partner.

Entries will be deemed valid when the participant has registered and paid in full for their APodA membership between 19 May 2025, 12:01am and before the 31 of May 2025, 11:59pm.
By entering the Giveaway, the participant accepts these Entry Terms & Conditions. If, subsequent to a qualifying entry, a participant does not wish to participate in the Giveaway, the participant must contact APodA on (03) 9416 3111 or by emailing info@podiatry.org.au.
Entry is not open to APodA employees, contractors or immediate family.
Multiple entries per participant will not be accepted.
If the Winner has already purchased a Conference ticket prior to winning the Giveaway, the Conference ticket will be refunded at the amount paid at the time of purchase.
If the Winner has already booked accommodation or booked accommodation at another hotel, the Winner will be reimbursed $837 towards their hotel fees.
All entries and details of entrants will be collected and used to contact the winner through the APodA membership registration/renewal process offered by the APodA in accordance with the APodA’s Privacy Policy, Privacy Policy - Australian Podiatry Association Ltd.
There will be one prize draw and one Prize winner. The Prize will be full (3-day) Australian Podiatry Conference 2025 delegate registration ticket and three (3) nights’ accommodation at the Sofitel Broadbeach at 81 Surf Parade, Broadbeach QLD 4218 in a Standard King Room. Check in will be on Wednesday 25 June and checkout will be Saturday 28 June 2025. The prize is up to the value of $2,132 AUD.
The Prize is not transferable for cash and is not eligible for an upgrade.
The Prize is not transferable to another person.
APodA will make all reasonable attempts to contact the winner. If the winner does not claim the Prize by the 11th of June 2025 the winner will forfeit their entitlement to the Prize. In this circumstance, APodA will redraw the Prize.
The winner will be chosen by APodA randomly.
If the winner does not use the prize, it will not be refunded or reimbursed in any way.
APodA is not responsible for the services or experience provided by Sofitel Broadbeach. BMS, as the Prize sponsor, is not responsible for the Winner’s experience, accommodation or travel arrangements, or any related guest services.
The winner will be contacted by the APodA Member Services team via phone by the 6th of June 2025.
The decision of the winner will be final. APodA will not enter any discussion or redraw.
If the winner does not or cannot accept the prize, then APodA will do a redraw.
The winner of the prize will be announced via APodA marketing channels including website, social media and newsletters.
The winner is responsible for making their own travel arrangements, including but not limited to flight bookings and airport transfers.
Parking and breakfast are not included in the Prize but can be acquired directly from the Sofitel Broadbeach hotel.
APodA and BMS are not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by entrants and winner in connection with the Giveaway, including:
1. any late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected entries or prize acceptance, including delays due to technical disruptions or network congestion to the APodA membership registration/renewal system;
2. any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Giveaway;
3. any technical error, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or communications line, telephone, mobile or satellite network failure;
4. any theft, destruction, unauthorised access to or alteration of entries; and
5. any use of the Prize or any tax liability incurred by the Winner as a result of accepting the Prize.
If there is a force majeure event which prevents or materially and adversely affects the APodA’s ability to market, promote and run the Giveaway in accordance with the Giveaway Entry Terms and Conditions, APodA may cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or postpone the Giveaway, subject to state licensing authorities’ approval if necessary.
BMS is the sole sponsor of the Prize and is not involved in the creation, promotion, administration or management of the Giveaway. BMS has no responsibility for the conduct or outcome of the Giveaway, including the selection of the Winner or the enforcement of these Terms and Conditions.
