Your Presenters:

Rob Mullins
Rob is National Podiatry Manager at Plena Healthcare. He began his podiatry career in 2005, initially working as an Attending Surgeon at New York - Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he focused on limb salvage and podiatric traumatology. He has 20 years’ experience leading teams of podiatrists in hospitals, community programs, and in aged care. In his role at Plena Healthcare, Rob manages the largest single team of Podiatrists in Australia as they provide services across nearly 600 Residential Aged Care facilities in all States and Territories. He is also Chair of the Australian Podiatry Association’s Podiatry Aged Care special-interest group.

Krissy McKenzie
Krissy is currently the Senior Podiatrist at Flexi Care – a medium sized Home Care provider in Brisbane’s South. She leads a team of 9 podiatrists who provide community podiatry services to over 1500 patients across multiple finding streams, including Commonwealth Home Support (CHSP), Home Care Packages (HCP), Medicare, DVA and NDIS. Krissy understands the complexities of working with patients under multiple funders, as well as the challenges working Prior to working in home care, Krissy spent time working as a podiatrist in both private and residential settings.

Maria Latemore
Mav, is the esteemed Director and founder of Podiatry Services SA. She graduated as a podiatrist in 1999 and has since developed a diverse career, acquiring extensive experience in both rural and metropolitan environments while undertaking various clinical and leadership roles.

Mav is deeply passionate about clinical practice and continues to deliver direct patient care, with a focus on managing complex foot conditions within the NDIS and Home Care Package frameworks. Additionally, she is dedicated to training and supporting her staff, ensuring that all patients under Podiatry Services SA receive the highest standard of podiatric care

In her capacity as Director, Mav also oversees the locum operations of the business. She ensures that timely podiatry services are accessible to all community members, which includes coordinating podiatrists to travel to underserved rural areas to fulfill essential high-risk clinical positions.

A strong advocate for the podiatry profession, particularly in the fields of aged care and disability, Mav serves on the Board of the Australian Podiatry Association. Her commitment to advocating for podiatrists across Australia underscores her dedication to ensuring that the profession has a robust voice, enabling her peers to provide the highest level of care to the communities they serve.
