The Presenter

Sophie McLellan

Sophie McLellan has been a registered podiatrist for 18 years. She is co-owner of Little Big Feet (LBF) - a paediatric and adolescent podiatry clinic in Brisbane. Sophie and her husband Jason also founded Skobi Shoes, however sold it in 2022 to focus on the growing needs of Little Big Feet.

Sophie's focus for the past decade has been in the research and development of footwear. She has worked directly with European and Asian factories to bring products to the market that meet the varying needs of children, paying close attention to their physical and developmental needs by addressing the functionality of the footwear.

Little Big Feet also retails many of the world's largest athletic and school shoe brands, making it a destination for families seeking the best in range, service and advice. Sophie views the footwear side of LBF as instrumental to the needs of practitioners and parents. She says "Shoes form a huge part of a podiatrist's treatment regime. Sometimes the shoe alone is the treatment in itself. An orthotic or triplane wedge can only function as well as the shoe it is in."
