Walk Strong Walk Tall
Walk Strong, Walk Tall, the SA Aboriginal diabetes-related foot disease program is dedicated to improving the prevention and management of diabetes-related foot disease and amputation among Aboriginal communities in South Australia.
Named with community input, Walk Strong, Walk Tall embodies resilience, cultural pride, and holistic health. The program's visual identity, crafted by Aboriginal artist Eldine Likouresis, celebrates these values through his artwork.
Eldine's artwork features two vibrant feet symbolizing coastal (blue) and inland (orange) communities, intricately detailed with arteries, veins, nerve endings, and the diverse landscapes of South Australia. This representation not only honors Indigenous heritage but also highlights the essential elements that keep our feet healthy and strong.
