Nomination information

2026 Nominations for the Australian Podiatry Association Board are open.

Members of Australian Podiatry Association Ltd (APodA) are advised three (3) positions on the APodA Board of Directors are now open for nomination.

Only APodA voting members are eligible to nominate.

Nomination for Election

Nominees (Nominated Person) must be nominated by any 2 voting members (Nominator, Seconder), both of which must be current voting members of the APodA.

A nomination of a candidate for election must be:

  1. in writing on the specified nomination form;
  2. signed by the nominee; and
  3. signed by the nominator and seconder.

Completed nomination forms must be received via email at nominations@podiatry.org.au or via mail at the registered office of the Australian Podiatry Association Ltd, 89 Nicholson Street, Brunswick East 3057, no later than 5:00pm AEST on Wednesday 15th April 2026. Nominations received after this time will not be considered.

Ballot (if required)

If there are more than three (3) nominees (candidates) for the three vacant positions, a ballot will be required. If a ballot is required, the candidate's candidate profile form and a short (less than 90 seconds) campaign video will be published on the APodA website for members to view prior to voting. Candidate profiles and video clips (candidate video clip instructions here) will assist members to learn a little more about candidates. Candidates will be notified if they are required to submit profile forms and video.

Candidate names will be published when the ballot (if required) opens. The ballot, if required, will be conducted online and managed by TrueVote, a secure and independent election management service. Voting instructions and profiles of candidates will be provided with notice of the ballot.

Director ineligibility

A person is not eligible to be an APodA Director if they are:

  • not an APodA voting member
  • ineligible to be a director under the Corporations Act; or
  • an employee of the Company (APodA Ltd).

No person may be elected as a director if the person, at the opening date of nominations, is not a financial member or is on the suspended membership list or is suspended from membership.

No person may perform duties as a director while the person is not a financial member or is on the suspended membership list or is suspended from membership.

The three (3) directors who are elected to the Board will be formally announced at the Annual General Meeting, to be held online  Wednesday, 20th May 2026.

NB: APodA Director Nominations close at 5:00pm AEST on Wednesday 15th April 2026.
