Ben Shepherd Bio

Ben Shepherd is an Account Solution Architect at Red Hat with a background spanning Defence, cyber security, and technology leadership across some of Australia’s most security-conscious environments. A former Air Force officer with experience supporting government entities, Ben specialises in helping organisations navigate risk, resilience, digital transformation, and the practical realities of security in complex environments.

Outside of work, Ben is a passionate long-distance triathlete, balancing training for endurance events with a busy professional and family life. Through both cyber security and endurance sport, he has developed a strong appreciation for preparation, consistency, risk management, and performance under pressure.

Ben brings a practical, human-centred approach to technology and security conversations — translating complex topics into real-world actions that busy clinicians can apply in their everyday practice. His focus is simple: helping healthcare professionals protect their patients, their businesses, and themselves without adding unnecessary complexity.
