Advocacy Starts with Engagement: How to Engage for Change

Join us for this 40-minute presentation and 10-minute Q&A session on the topic of Advocacy Starts with Engagement: How to Engage for Change

Join the advocacy team to start your journey on engaging with government officials and members of parliament.

Effective advocacy doesn't happen by chance - It happens when professionals have the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage with the people shaping policy and funding decisions.

This advocacy masterclass provides practical insights into how podiatrists can become effective advocates for the profession, clients and communities. Participants will learn how policy decisions are made, how to build productive relationships with key stakeholders, and how to communicate messages that drive meaningful change.

Whether you're new to advocacy or looking to strengthen your influence, this session will equip you with the tools to:

  • Understand the policy and decision-making landscape
  • Engage confidently with government and key stakeholders
  • Develop persuasive advocacy messages
  • Contribute to positive change for your profession and the people you serve
  • Turn professional expertise into effective influence

Advocacy is strengthened when the podiatry community is informed, engaged and willing to share their expertise. Together, we can create a stronger voice and achieve better outcomes.

Build your advocacy capability. Strengthen your professional voice. Create positive change.

What we will cover:

1. Understand the policy and decision-making landscape
2. Engage confidently with government and key stakeholders
3. Develop persuasive advocacy messages
