Podiatry Board Update: What's Changing for Pathway B and the Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines

Join us for this 40-minute presentation and 10-minute Q&A session on the topic of Podiatry Board Update: What's Changing for Pathway B and the Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines

The Podiatry Board of Australia has made significant changes to Pathway B for the Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines (ESM), taking effect from 1 July 2026. If you are working towards endorsement, thinking about it, or supporting colleagues who are, this session will tell you what you need to know.

Pathway B has long been valued by the profession, but applicants have told us the process took too long and was too uncertain. The revised pathway responds directly to that feedback. The changes are designed to make expectations clearer, the process more consistent, and the experience far more manageable, while keeping the standard of safe prescribing exactly where it should be.

In this session we will walk through:

  • What is actually changing on 1 July 2026, and why
  • The new clinical study templates, word limits, and submission timeframes
  • How changes to the initial three clinical studies now work
  • Greater understanding of what assessors are looking for
  • What current applicants need to do, and how the transition arrangements will affect you

There will be time for live questions at the end.

Whether you are mid-application, weighing up whether to start, or simply want to understand where ESM is heading, this is the clearest picture of Pathway B you will get. Bring your questions.

What we will cover:

1. Understand key changes to Pathway B
2. Become familiar with the updated requirements
3. Identify what current and prospective applicants need to do
