WEBINAR - 3D Printed Orthotics Research and Implementation

A

Dean Hartley is a Podiatrist of 12 years and one of the founders of Balance Podiatry, iOrthotics and now Healthia.

Over the course of 5 years, Dean worked with University of Queensland (Engineering Department), HP and several industry groups to validate the replacement of polypropylene with other 3D printed polymers to produce orthotics. This ongoing research included testing of multiple printing methods and materials to find suitable replacements. iOrthotics now boasts to be one of first orthotic laboratories in the world to fully replace pressed and milled polypropylene orthotics with 3D printed devices. Dean is now working with podiatrists, pedorthists and orthotists to produce 3D-printed foot orthotics, AFOs, UCBLs, SMOs and other orthotic braces.
