We will Start at the common Iliac artery:
Vessels entering the lower limb: Femoral (external iliac), obturator and the two gluteals.
Then look at the course and distribution of these, mainly the femoral and its branches
Including important anastomoses – in the thigh, around the femoral head and neck, around the knee, in the foot.
Discuss the concept of neurovascular bundles and how it applies to the lower limb
The course and distribution of the femoral, obturator, tibial and common fibular (peroneal) nerves.
