Ahpra has unveiled the Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Statement of Intent, emphasising the crucial role of teamwork in delivering high-quality care to patients and healthcare consumers. This approach involves professionals from diverse backgrounds working alongside patients, families, and communities to ensure top-notch care free from discrimination.

The Accreditation Committee aims to embed Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP) across the 16 professions within the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme.

The statement underscores a joint commitment to achieving shared goals, including enhancing health outcomes, ensuring culturally safe care, and fostering collaboration within the healthcare workforce. Ahpra pledges to lead efforts in integrating IPCP into education, training, governance, research, and practice, with a focus on person-centred care, devoid of discrimination and racism.
