MSK workshop wrap – a milestone for our MSK Special Interest Group

Our first Live & Local: Foot and Ankle Tendons – MSK one-day clinical intensive hands-on workshop was a huge success, marking an exciting milestone for the MSK Special Interest Group (SIG).

Held in Sydney, the event brought together podiatrists from across Australia, including many interstate participants and regional and remote practitioners who made the trip to join us.

A high-energy start

The day began on a vibrant note with an energising ASICS Run Club along Sydney’s picturesque streets. The run set the tone for a day centred on movement, clinical excellence and collaboration, perfectly aligning with the workshop’s focus on lower-limb tendon pathology and foot and ankle MSK care.

A day of clinical immersion

Following the run, participants engaged in a series of expertly curated sessions delivered by podiatrists who live and breathe MSK practice. The workshop combined:

  • Practical, hands-on demonstrations.
  • Case-based learning grounded in real-world clinical challenges.
  • Expert-led teaching from members of the MSK SIG.
  • Interactive group discussions and plenty of opportunities to refine technical skills.

Attendees appreciated not only the depth of knowledge shared but also the chance to ask detailed questions, workshop techniques in real time and connect with colleagues who share a passion for MSK podiatry.
