Shaping the future of podiatry at our Virtual Student Conference 2026
9 Sep 2026
Thank you to everyone who joined us online for the 2026 Virtual Student Conference on 4 September, a fantastic showcase of podiatry student research, academic work, and emerging clinical thinking from across the country.
Over 5.5 hours of CPD, we heard from a talented group of 3rd and 4th year students and new graduates presenting their research, academic projects and placement experiences to a national audience, many for the first time. Their presentations covered a broad and thoughtful range of topics, reflecting the calibre of thinking coming through podiatry programs today, and offering a genuine glimpse of where the profession is headed.
Following each presentation stream, live Q&A and panel discussions gave practicing podiatrists, educators and students the chance to engage directly with one another, exploring emerging approaches to clinical practice, evidence-informed care, and what workforce readiness really looks like from a student's perspective.
It was fantastic to see cross-generational conversation and curiosity in equal measure, exactly the kind of connection that keeps our profession moving forward.
To every student who submitted an abstract and stepped up to present, congratulations. Presenting your work in a national forum is no small thing, and we hope the experience has given you real confidence and visibility as you move toward your career in podiatry.
Thank you also to the practicing podiatrists, educators and university partners who gave their time to attend, ask questions, and support the next generation of the profession.
We'd also like to sincerely thank our sponsors, BMS and Bared Footwear, for proudly supporting this event and helping make it possible for students to have this platform.
Thank you again to everyone who took part, presenters, panelists, attendees and sponsors alike, for making the 2026 Virtual Student Conference such a valuable event for our profession.
