Position Vacant: Casual / Contract

Community & Residential Aged Care Podiatrist

Company: People Podiatry Pty Ltd
Location: Perth Metro
Employment Type: Contractor / Casual

Are you a passionate Podiatrist looking for genuine flexibility and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the elderly? Do you want to avoid the rigidity of a 9-to-5 clinic job and take control of your own schedule?

People Podiatry is seeking dedicated Podiatrists to provide essential foot care to the aged care community. We service both Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) and private clients in their own homes. If you are an experienced clinician or a new graduate looking to build your career in a high-demand sector, we want to hear from you.

We believe in supporting our podiatrists so they can focus on what they do best: providing exceptional patient care. We handle the logistics, scheduling, and administration, leaving you free to practice.

About the Role

This is a community-based role where you will travel to clients across the Perth Metro region. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate podiatry services to the elderly, helping to maintain their mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide routine and complex clinical foot care to residents in aged care facilities and private homes.

Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of age-related conditions, including nail pathology, corns, calluses, fungal infections, and high-risk foot complications (diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, etc.).

Conduct comprehensive falls risk assessments and biomechanical evaluations.

Prescribe and fit orthotics where appropriate.

Educate patients, families, and care home staff on preventative foot care strategies.

Maintain clear and accurate clinical notes using our user-friendly system.

Communicate effectively with facility staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

What We Offer: The Perks

VERY COMPETITIVE RATES (Per Client): We offer a very competitive remuneration. You are paid per client, meaning your earning potential is directly in your hands.

HIGHER RATE FOR USING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT: All equipment and consumables can be provided by us. However, if you are an established podiatrist who prefers to use your own trusted instruments, you will be paid at a higher per-client rate.

FULL ADMIN SUPPORT: We take the hassle out of your day. We handle:

Scheduling and bookings with facilities and clients.

All chasing of clients and paperwork.

Invoicing and payment collection.

Referral management.

You simply show up, treat, and move on.

COMPLETE FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE: You are in control. Work as many or as few days as you like. Design a schedule that fits your life, whether that means working school hours, condensed long days, or a traditional work week. You choose the hours, we fill them with clients. Alternatively you also have the option to schedule the clients yourself should you prefer.

Established Client Base: Immediate access to a large, ready-to-book patient base across multiple facilities and the community. No need to build your own client list.

Supportive Team: Join a network of podiatrists and a dedicated support team who have your back.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: Podiatry degree, with General AHPRA registration.

Experience: Open to both experienced Aged Care Podiatrists and enthusiastic New Graduates.
