Orange is approximately 4 hour west of Sydney and elevated 850 above sea level of the climate is classified as cold. There are definitely 4 seasons every year. The area is an old orchard area that is now has lot of fine wineries and cafe.

The town is classified as a small city and is the medical hub of the health district, with many GP practitioners (over70 at last count), many specialists (orthopaedic, general surgeons, and other specialists based or visiting the area), a major base hospital, two private surgical hospitals and a mental health facility that I currently work in covering the clientele for podiatry. As well as numerous physical therapy surgeries/Operations such as pharmacies, physiotherapist, OTs, dietitians, osteopaths ETC.

The practice for sale is a sole proprietor practice based in a small clinic that has very reasonable rent and easy access for most patients.
The practice offers a wide variety of services and sees many clients with a large range of foot problems. The current practice covers general treatment, PNA surgical procedures, gait assessments for athletes, children starting school and people with disabilities and post surgical assessment to improve gait recovery as well as emergency care for patients with severe pain and chronic pain/conditions such as ingrown toe nails. Chronic and long care ulcer/high risk patients are also seen regularly in the practice.

The current practice also covers 4 surrounding towns with well established clients and clinics. These are currently being operated as a stay over night service but these towns are all within an hour and a half drive from Orange, so you can get back easily in a day if you want to.

The practice also services 2 nursing homes with the capacity for expansion with 6 other nursing homes in the area. As well as the units of the mental health services (with about 1000 patients in different wards) group homes and home visits offer if patients have difficulty accessing the clinic.

The current podiatrist does make his own orthotics and uses labs and prefabricated orthotics depending upon the patient’s needs.
