This opportunity is for a Podiatrist to join our allied health team at the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service in the Thursday Island team as a rural generalist. As a graduate podiatrist you will be delivering podiatry clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.

 

Whether you're a graduate podiatrist or early in your career, this role offers exceptional development and support. You'll also develop key non-clinical skills including leadership, service planning, education, cultural safety and community engagement.

 

In this role you have the opportunity to receive enhanced training and development through an Allied Health Rural Generalist training position (https://www.health.qld.gov.au/ahwac/html/rural-remote).

 

Allied Health Rural Generalist Pathway Package

 

This is a permanent career opportunity with a 2 – 4 year funded Rural Generalist Pathway education program opportunity (up to 4 years of education depending on career stage)

 

  • Funded rural generalist education program 
  • Formal and informal supervision
  • Support for service-based project work
  • Minimum 8 hours per fortnight dedicated to training and development
