Senior Podiatrist Geelong, VIC

Senior Podiatrist Geelong, VIC

Position Vacant: Part Time

Prosper Health Group is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to join its established Highton practice in a permanent part-time capacity.

Offering an existing caseload from day one, this is an opportunity to step into a well-resourced and highly regarded clinical environment, with the autonomy to practise at a senior level and the support, technology and infrastructure to do it
exceptionally well.

The position has been deliberately structured around sustainable clinical practice: two days per week with flexibility around how those hours are arranged, paid administration time, full practice support, no weekends or after-hours, and remuneration that isn’t tied to product sales or unrealistic KPIs.

Led by experienced podiatrists Danny Hegarty and Dean Cronkwright, Prosper has built a collaborative, low-ego team and invested heavily in the clinical capability of its practice. For an experienced clinician who values quality of care, professional autonomy and a genuinely well-supported working environment, there is plenty here worth considering.

Why Prosper Health Group?

Prosper is a growing multidisciplinary practice operating across Highton and Colac, with an established patient and referral base and more than 30 years of combined podiatry experience at Director level.

The practice has continued to invest in both its people and its clinical offering, creating an environment where experienced practitioners are trusted to practise autonomously while retaining ready access to collaboration and peer support. Importantly, clinical quality isn’t expected at the expense of the clinician delivering it. Administration time is recognised as part of the working day, operational support sits around the clinical team.

What’s on offer

  •  An established caseload from commencement
  •  Permanent part-time position, approximately two days per week
  •  Flexibility around the structure of working hours
  •  $100,000–$130,000 package (pro rata), depending on experience
  •  Paid daily administration time for notes and reports
  •  No weekends or after-hours
  •  Full administrative support across bookings, payments and instrument sterilisation
  • Genuine clinical autonomy
  • No product sales targets or unrealistic KPIs
  • Opportunity to develop specialist clinical interests
  • Scope to mentor developing clinicians, if desired

A clinical environment worth working in Prosper has deliberately invested in technology and specialist services that allow its podiatrists to deliver a broad and contemporary scope of care.

The practice offers:

  • One of Australia’s busiest Swift wart treatment clinics
  • A dedicated ingrown toenail service, with regular PNA procedures
  • Point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Laser foot scanning for custom orthotic prescription
  • iPad-based movement assessment technology
  • Toe pressure assessment for diabetic foot management

For a clinician with an existing specialty or particular area of interest, there is scope to continue developing it. Equally, the breadth of the practice makes this an attractive setting for someone who simply enjoys the variety of a strong general
private-practice caseload.

About you
Prosper is looking for an experienced clinician who combines sound clinical judgement with the warmth and communication skills required to build trusted, long-term patient relationships.

You will be comfortable managing a broad podiatry caseload independently, while enjoying the collegiate benefit of working alongside other experienced practitioners.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience within private practice
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload autonomously
  • Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence-based care
  • Excellent patient communication and relationship-building skills
  • An ability to build and maintain positive professional and referral relationships
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Current driver’s licence

Experience across sports podiatry, biomechanics, diabetic foot care, nail surgery or another clinical specialty would be welcomed, as would an interest in mentoring less experienced clinicians, but neither needs to define the role.

It is an environment designed to let good clinicians practise well — with the freedom, resources and support to concentrate on the work they do best.
