The APodA is the only organisation that advocates on behalf of the podiatry profession in Australia. Membership types

Applications for membership are open to practising and non-practising podiatrists, podiatric surgeons and podiatry undergraduate students.

Student/Graduate

An undergraduate podiatry student includes UWA and Monash University students undertaking DPM, or a new graduate podiatrist, within their first 6 months of graduation.

Free for eligible podiatry students and podiatry graduates within their first 6 months of graduation.

New Professional

Podiatrists registered with Ahpra and working their first 3 professional years since graduation.

  • New Professional 1st Year (final year of study was 2024)
  • New Professional 2nd Year (final year of study was 2023)
  • New Professional 3rd Year (final year of study was 2022)

$45.83 p/m or $320.83 p/a (pro rata rate)

Professional

Podiatrists and podiatric surgeons registered with Ahpra.

$81.25 p/m or $568.75 p/a (pro rata rate)

Affiliate

Podiatrists and podiatric surgeons not working in a clinical podiatry role or environment, i.e. non-practising, academic or permanently working overseas.

$45.83 p/m or $320.83 p/a (pro rata rate)

Public Sector CPD Pass

Podiatrists and podiatric surgeons registered with Ahpra and working full-time in the public sector. This membership provides access to CPD resources and opportunities tailored to the needs of public sector employees. The APodA has the right to deny membership to this category if the eligibility criteria are not met or insufficient evidence is provided to meet the category.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be employed full-time in the public sector to qualify for this category
  • Proof of full-time public sector employment may be required during the application/renewal process
