Help us advocate for positive policy change: NDIS 2025-26 Annual Pricing Review

The NDIS has launched its Annual Price Review for 2025–2026, which includes therapy supports such as podiatry. This is a chance for the podiatry community to raise their voice on this important area of pricing of podiatry services.

Last year’s review (2024–2025) resulted in significant pricing changes that impacted podiatry and caused concern within the podiatry community.

More context

The NDIA is exploring two key areas relevant to podiatry.

1) Differentiated Pricing for delivery of services

The NDIA is considering whether more tailored pricing approaches could better reflect diverse service delivery models. Areas under review include:

  • Registration and assurance requirements: Recognising compliance and quality investments required of registered providers.
  • Participant complexity and intensity: Accounting for additional time, skill, and workforce structures needed to support participants with complex needs.
  • Provider capability and quality: supporting providers who invest in training, supervision and outcomes measurement.
  • Market alignment and benchmarking: ensuring NDIS prices remain responsive to broader market conditions and workforce trends.

2) Therapy supports and how they are delivered

The following questions are included in the survey:

  • How is your therapy workforce primarily employed?
  • What is the typical duration of a NDIS therapy session delivered by your organisation or practice?
  • What percentage of this session time is direct therapy, documentation, coordination or other?
The APodA will continue to advocate of your behalf and will be making a formal submission. Watch this space.
